Victoria, BC – September 2024 – As Kuku’s Restaurant proudly celebrates 15 years of serving authentic East Indian cuisine to the Victoria community, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Kuku’s on the Run, our exciting new food truck. Founded by Anita and Randy Mahadar, Kuku’s has been a beloved fixture in the community, known for bringing rich, traditional flavors to the table. Now, with Kuku’s on the Run, we’re taking Kuku’s on the road

The addition of Kuku’s on the Run allows us to grow our business in a new and innovative way. Whether you’re craving our signature curries, tandoori dishes, or freshly made naan, Kuku’s on the Run offers the same authentic flavors you’ve come to love

In addition to expanding our catering options, the food truck allows us to explore new opportunities within the vibrant Victoria food truck scene. By participating in local festivals and community events, we aim to introduce our cuisine to new customers while continuing to serve our loyal regulars. The truck is equipped to provide fast, high-quality service, maintaining the standard Kuku’s has built over the past 15 years.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are deeply honored to support a cause close to our hearts. On September 19th, Kuku’s on the Run will participate in the Tour de Rock Send-Off Fundraiser at the Victoria Police Parking Lot from 4-8pm and will be broadcasting live with Check New’s The Upside with Jeff and Ed.

The fundraiser supports cancer research and services through the Canadian Cancer Society, and 50% of all proceeds from the food truck at this event will be donated to the cause. This event holds special meaning for our family, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.

Following the Tour de Rock event, Kuku’s on the Run will make its festival debut at the Station Food Truck & Music Festival in Langford. Join us for two days of great food and music at the Station Arts and Cultural District (720 Station Ave) and Veterans Memorial Park on:

• Friday, September 20th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Saturday, September 21st from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM

As part of our anniversary celebration, we are also excited to unveil our newly redesigned website, created by longtime family friends at Next Level Sales Consulting. The website has been revamped with a modern design, making it easy for customers to explore our menu, stay updated on the food truck’s schedule, and learn more about our expanded catering services.
